Subject Association Day 2025

                              

                       

                                          The inaugural event of the English Subject Association, Aurora Literaria, was held on 25 th September with great enthusiasm and active participation from both students and faculty members .Alongside the inauguration, the Association conducted it's first academic observation in connection with the birthday od T.S Eliot celebrated on 26 th September, as a tribute to his monumental contributions to modern literature and enduring influence on poetry,drama and literary criticism.  Ask part of these initiative TS Eliot birthday was meaningfully observed on the associations inaugural day itself a special highlight of the program was the formal unveiling of the associations name aurora literaria that term Arora signifies dawn or new beginning while literaria relates to literature together the name symbolises enlightenment ,creativity and emergence of literary brilliance reflecting the associations vision and the inaugural event of the English subject association Aurora Literaria.

                               

                             The Inaugural programme commenced with a special dance performance ,through which the name of the Association was formally revealed.

                 

                 As part of Observation Day One, students of the English Department presentation a dramatic reading of The Waste Land by T. S. Eliot, followed by the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the Chief Guest and the Honourable Chairman . After the conclusion of the inaugural ceremony, various cultural events were conducted during the afternoon session, including dance performances, group songs, a dramatic presentation of William Shakespeare’s Othello, and interactive game sessions.

                           

Teacher's Day celebration

                  

                            HKM College of Education, Umayanallor celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 10th with great enthusiasm and respect. The programme was organized to honour teachers for their valuable contribution to education. Various programmes such as speeches, songs, dances, and other cultural activities were performed by the students. Teachers were appreciated for their dedication, guidance, and continuous support. The celebration created a joyful atmosphere and strengthened the relationship between teachers and students.

                              

 

Craft work 2025

                                  CRAFT WORK

                                     As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, a craft exhibition was held on 12/09/2025 under the supervision of Mini Miss and Naja Miss. As part of the exhibition, all the student teachers prepared five items each. The exhibition was conducted in the forenoon session.The items prepared by me included paper bouquet, wall hanging, clay flower, canvas painting, bottle art, and earbud thread wheel. The main objective of the craft exhibition was to improve creativity and practical skills among student teachers. Students from pre-primary to higher secondary classes visited the exhibition and appreciated the exhibits. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience for all of us.
